A newly-wed bride died in Meerut city, Uttar Pradesh from suffocation a day after her wedding as gas leaked from the geyser while she was taking a bath at her in-laws’ house in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. After she didn’t respond to them, her family members broke open the bathroom door and found her lying in a corner. Doctors declared her brought dead at the hospital.
Gas geysers are known to emit carbon monoxide which can be dangerous as within only a few minutes of inhaling, it can make one dizzy and unconscious.
Reports suggest that the woman had been to the bathroom at her in-laws’ house to take a shower and had been in there for quite some time. When the family members tried to check on her and got no response, they reportedly knocked down the door to find her unconscious in a corner. She was then rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
